7 Daily Success Habits Used by High Powered Entrepreneurs

1. Wake Up Early to Get Your Day Going

For most of us, stress begins even before we open our eyes in the morning. Waking abruptly to the sound of the alarm clock gets your adrenaline rushing, preparing your body for the fight or flight response. Unfortunately, it can also cause a higher heart rate and increased blood pressure, stressing you out at the very beginning of your day.

To start your day without stress, try setting your internal clock to wake up naturally.

To get up early, experts say, make sure to go early to bed in the evening. Research shows that an early bedtime routine can help you wake up naturally without an alarm clock and distressing sound.

Waking up early gives you more time to yourself. Getting up before everyone else and just sitting in peace while sipping your coffee can help accumulate energy, set intentions for the day, and prepare for a hectic schedule ahead.

2. Move Your Body

Starting your day with light exercise is the best way to get that energy flow much needed for a hectic day in front of you.

If you are not a fan of morning jogging or gym workout, start your day with light stretching exercises or yoga.

Research has proven many times that regular physical activity stimulates the production of “happiness hormones” in our brain, boosting our mood and helping us feel relaxed.

A half an hour of light exercise in the morning can enhance mental clarity, improve your attention span, and help you focus on your daily tasks.

3. Set Reasonable Goals and Expectations for the Day

High-achieving people have millions of things they plan or want to achieve daily. However, they know that multitasking prevents them from entirely focusing on things they need to get done. So instead, they plan their time, avoid procrastination, and reduce the transition time between their tasks

So, reflect on your goals and expectations for the day while sipping your morning coffee. Don’t make plans for more than you can take.

Instead of doing several things at once, try setting time blocks. Time blocking involves scheduling chunks of time for a specific task or activity. It allows you to prioritize, set reasonable goals and expectations, reduce distractions, and be more effective.

4. Make Time to Read

Successful CEOs are growth-oriented. They believe that their knowledge and skills can be improved with effort and time. High-achieving entrepreneurs are lifetime learners who understand that the world is constantly changing. So, they continuously make an effort to grow and improve. They read a lot and try to learn something new almost every day to keep their minds sharp.

Start your days with a good book, newspapers, affirmation quotes, or anything else that you find inspiring. Resume your book where you left off the previous night and immerse yourself in that next chapter. Reading something inspirational in the morning can boost your mood, enhance your confidence, and help you start your day on a positive note.

5. Practice Journaling & Reflection

The habit of starting your morning journaling can have numerous benefits on your mental health. While we sleep, our brain keeps working, processing emotions and thoughts from the previous day, reshaping itself.

So, writing down your thoughts in the morning can help you get in touch with your deepest thoughts and feelings, providing clarity and helping release the intensity of negative emotions.

Also, journaling can increase mindfulness and help you identify negative thoughts and unproductive behaviors that trigger anxiety, raising resilience.

6. Connect with Others

Successful entrepreneurs have a holistic approach to success. First, they set intentions and visualize success. And then, they work very hard to achieve their goals. However, high-performing individuals recognize that success is not complete if other areas of life suffer because of work.

So, make sure to prioritize self-care and make time for life outside of work. Don’t neglect your social life and regularly find time for your family, friends, and hobbies.

Set boundaries in work and life because saying ‘yes to more than you can handle can lead to stress and burnout. Instead, evaluate your priorities, so you can invest time in what truly matters.

7. Take Time to Disconnect

Avoid looking at your smartphone in the morning for an hour. This will allow you to reflect on your thoughts and get in touch with your subconscious mind. Likewise, abstaining from sensory experiences right after waking up will enable us to acknowledge and process the information our brain processed at night.

Technology is present in nearly every moment of our waking hours. However, non-stop connectivity is closely related to increased stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

So, make a digital detox your daily habit and take breaks from using your smartphone, social media, and laptop in the morning and for some time throughout the day.
